PGA National Receives Meetings Accolade
Legendary south Florida resort honored with Platinum Choice Award from Smart Meetings
(PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.) -- PGA National Resort & Spa announces it has received the 2011 Platinum Choice award from Smart Meetings magazine for excellence among meeting facilities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Winners garner this recognition by setting exemplary standards in ambience, amenities, breadth of resources, facility quality, guest services, meeting space, meeting packages, recreational activities, restaurant and dining facilities, staff attitude and technical support. Smart Meetings readers vote over a two-month period, with additional input from editors and industry experts. The elite honorees are celebrated in its December issue.

"We're honored to win this prestigious award most notably as it's voted on by readers who have sampled our state-of-the-art meeting facilities," says Joel Paige, Vice President and Managing Director. "Our attention to detail, exemplary customer service and world-class amenities insures successful, celebrated events."

PGA National's self-contained meeting wing is highlighted by two elegant ballrooms and multiple function rooms adjustable for groups of any size. High-tech support includes Bose sound, zone lighting and built-in screens. The legendary resort provides a dedicated guest relations and events team, creative catering options, off-site event coordination, on-site transportation department and savvy in-house audiovisual specialists. Its beautifully manicured grounds provide multiple venues for open-air occasions including a visually inviting poolside deck area; and the 5,000-square-foot PGA Pavilion with its dazzling view of the property.

The revitalization of PGA National's 379 comfortably-appointed rooms is scheduled to be completed in fall 2012. In addition to golf on five championship courses, guests can choose from more than 50 fitness classes at the 33,000-square-foot Health & Racquet Club, savor one of more than 100 treatments offered by The Spa, lounge in the zero-entry pool, or enjoy one of the nine on-site restaurants and lounges highlighted by the chef-driven Ironwood Steak and Seafood and sophisticated iBAR.
