Golfing Magazine Announces The Addition Of Associate Publisher, Dick Gillespie, Who Will Publish The Carolinas Edition Of Golfing Magazine
Wethersfield, CT (March, 2007) - Golfing Magazine, The Nation's #1 Regional Golf Magazine announces the addition of Associate Publisher Dick Gillespie who will publish the Carolinas edition of Golfing Magazine.
Dick Gillespie is a seasoned media seller and sales leader with expertise in print, outdoor, digital, and broadcast. In print, he led sales in New England for Golf Digest and Tennis Magazine, for Playboy and later for Newsweek where he led new business sales and personally contributed $22 million in new business in one year.
Dick led corporate sales for the Gannett Company and created cross platform media and promotion sales for USA TODAY, USA WEEKEND, 136 Newspapers, 11 radio stations, 14 network television affiliates, and 400,000 billboards.
Dick then began creating his own media, and launched GOLF+, an out of home media located at golf courses with static ads on golf carts and at driving ranges. He has sold GPS cart screen media on golf carts, and golf related content on mobile smart phones to national, regional, and local advertisers. He has worked with hundreds of golf courses nationally to provide great service and to fulfill all media and promotional campaigns.
Dick has now taken on the launch of Golfing Magazine for North Carolina and South Carolina.
Dick is happily married to his wife Dianne, has three grown and beautiful daughters, and resides in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He is an avid UCONN basketball fan, and lettered on the men's varsity basketball team there. Hopelessly hooked on golf, he plans to improve his game, have some fun playing more golf, and deliver the next generation of Golfing Magazine to the Carolinas with print, online, and digital media opportunities.
