Phoenix, AZ: January 10, 2013 -- Players Towel™, the preferred golf towel by Tour players featuring high performance microfiber waffle technology, was used by the winner of the PGA Tour's season opener -- The Hyundai Tournament of Champions at the Kapalua Resort, Kapalua, Hawaii.
The event which was contested on the Plantation Course at Kapalua tested the physical and mental toughness of the entire field because of strong 40 mph winds that persisted and caused Tour officials to shorten the event to 54 holes.
"I would like to congratulate the winner of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions on his 7th Tour win and his steadfast perseverance in light of the severe weather," said Patrick Le Vine, founder of the Players Towel. "The difficult weather conditions required a golf towel that maintained its integrity to keep the player's hands and equipment dry and clean and the dominant towel was the Players Towel," stated Le Vine.
Since its introduction in 2008, the Players Towel has proudly served the winners of 57 professional tournaments worldwide.
