LAKE MARY, FL (Jan. 21, 2013) - Appearances by LPGA Tour star Paula Creamer and top-ranked instructor Mike Bender. plus two awards programs highlight a busy schedule in the ING Hospitality Room - ClubING - at the PGA Merchandise Show. ClubING is open to all ING members and guests throughout the show in Room 309A of the Orange County Convention Center.

The International Network Of Golf is a non-profit, media-based networking organization whose mission since 1990 has been to enhance and promote communication and education in golf. Membership is open to anyone in the golf industry, related industries and media. "ING is where media and the golf industry connect."

ClubING, located next door to the Media Center, opens on Thursday and Friday mornings at 8 a.m. with Coffee Hour, and closes each day with Happy Hour.

The ING Industry Honors recognizes outstanding achievement in a dozen business-related categories, such as product ingenuity, TV commercial, print advertising and player development. Nominations are collected throughout the year until October 10. Sub-committees trim the nominees to the top three in each category. Winners are then determined by vote of the ING membership. Nominees will be recognized and winners announced at the January 25th presentation. A complete list of nominees is at the bottom of this article.

Bender has been listed among GOLF Magazine's top 100 teachers for over a decade, and is currently among the top 5 instructors on the Golf Digest list, behind only Butch Harmon, David Ledbetter and Jim McLean in the rankings voted upon by his peers. Among the two dozen tour players Bender has helped through the years are two-time U.S. Open champion Lee Janzen, former LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year Seon Hwa Lee, Jonathan Byrd and Robert Damron.

Bender's Q&A will be part of the ING Media Reception & Happy Hour on Thursday, 5:30-7 p.m. Just before that is the 20th Annual ING Media Awards Presentation Press Conference, which begins at 5 with Todd Lewis of The Golf Channel as the emcee.

Creamer is currently ranked No. 12 in the Rolex World Rankings. She has nine victories, including a U.S. Open title, in her eight years on the LPGA Tour, with over $9.5 million in earnings. Creamer is one of the most popular players on the LPGA Tour, and is also considered among the most stylish. The TaylorMade-adidas Golf-sponsored Creamer is a familiar face when it comes to TV commercials for the various products she represents.

She takes the stage on Friday at 1 p.m. for a Q&A. That immediately follows the 20th Annual ING Industry Honors Presentation Press Conference, which begins at 12:30 p.m.

Also scheduled on Friday are two presentations of the Pellucid Corp. State of the Industry report. Pellucid President Jim Koppenhaver will be joined by Stuart Lindsay of Edgehill Golf Advisors to lead lively discussions about all aspects of golf course operations and the golf industry in general. Those programs start at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

ING exists to bring golf media together with representatives from all walks of the golf industry to introduce new products, discuss issues, exchange information and improve communication. The group, which was formed 23 years ago, hosts the annual ING Spring Conference, scheduled this year at Reunion Resort in Orlando May 19-23. Educational seminars, product testing, an appointment show and networking opportunities highlight schedule.

The next gathering for ING is at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando Jan. 24-26, 2013. ClubING (Room 309) will be open all day for members and their guests, with morning coffee, Happy Hour cocktail parties with celebrity guests and entertainment, and prizes and giveaways.
