Fourteen Golf's LPGA Tour Top-10 List Continues To Grow With The Addition Of Two Top-10 Finishes at the Kraft Nabisco Championship
IRVINE, CA - April 18, 2013 - FOURTEEN GOLF, a global leader in the development of golf equipment, announced today that two LPGA Professionals played FOURTEEN GOLF equipment at the LPGA Tour's first major of the season, the Kraft Nabisco Championship, to finish within the Top-10.
According to Fourteen Golf COO Marcy Kamoda, "The LPGA Professionals continue to use and support FOURTEEN GOLF. These top women players understand the importance of the short game, so they rely on our irons and wedges."
The Dinah Shore Tournament Golf Course at Mission Hills is tree lined and extremely narrow. Good iron shots are a necessity to score well. One LPGA Professional put into play her favorite TC-550FG Irons, the predecessor to the TC-530FG Irons, to manage the terrain and stay in the fairway.
LPGA Touring Professionals like the appearance of the traditionally designed TC-530FG Irons but the wide sole set combined with a lower CG is why they are used weekly. These irons actually have the lowest and deepest CG placement amongst all of FOURTEEN GOLF's irons. This precise placement creates a higher launch with consistently. At the Kraft Nabisco, they were played redirect and shorten the hole and its distance by hitting over the trees.
Strategic pin placements at the Kraft Nabisco put a lot of pressure on approach shots as well as bunker shots so it wasn't a surprise to see SO many LPGA Touring Professionals playing FOURTEEN GOLF Wedges. "Our wedges and their design provide these LPGA Professionals optimal spin with control and workability," added Kamoda.
Two LPGA Professionals played three FOURTEEN GOLF Wedges to close a Top-10 finish at the Kraft Nabisco. Their lofts differed but the reason they played the FOURTEEN GOLF wedges are the same - they promote a variety shots, and their precision is unparalleled.
To provide the workability professional golfers desire, the 2013 Golf Digest "Hot List" award winning RM-12 Wedges are engineered with a rounded toe and heel area on the H-Sole, which is available in 48-degree to 58-degree models. This signature FOURTEEN GOLF sole design allows for golfers to open and close the face.
According to PGA Professional Arjun Atwal, "I love the FOURTEEN GOLF RM-12 Wedges. The workability of these wedges is unbelievable."
For the 60-degree RM-12 Wedge, the design team implemented a T-Sole, also known as a Twin Sole. A distinct ridge in the middle portion of the sole allows the club to get through any type of lie easily as the leading edge is able to slide under the club effortlessly. Additionally, when the club face is open, the back portion of the sole encourages the ball to pop up with the perfect amount of spin.
In addition to the vast amount of professional golfers playing FOURTEEN GOLF equipment, the company has a professional FOURTEEN GOLF staff team which includes PGA Professionals John Mallinger, Arjun Atwal, Ryuji Imada and Chad Collins.
