Leader in sports technology assists with the launch of a new, high-tech driver
ORLANDO, Fla. – August 27, 2015 – FlightScope, a world leader in the development and manufacturing of 3D Doppler club and ball tracking monitors, golf radars and launch monitors for sports, recently featured its technology at COBRA Golf event highlighting the launch of the company’s new KING LTD driver.
Two customized Skills Challenges were created by the FlightScope team for participants, which measured their skills shooting at different target ranges and hitting long drives. Many attendees competed in the challenges and all of the shot data was tracked by FlightScope Xi Tour units.
“At FlightScope we are always looking for ways to support the growth and advancement of technology within the golf industry,” said Henri Johnson, founder and CEO of FlightScope. “The launch of the KING LTD represents a new class of drivers backed by high-tech research, and we are thrilled FlightScope was on hand to help showcase the power of technology and its effect on game performance.”
Prior to the event FlightScope created MyFlightScope.com profiles and unique QR codes for each player, generating a quick and efficient way for the company’s radar technology to track data and keep the leaderboard constantly updated with real-time standings. Following the event attendees could also log in to their account to see how their skills measured up using the KING LTD and obtain more detailed information about approach percentage, driving accuracy and driving/approach shot shape percentages.
Used by PGA professional golfer, Ricky Fowler, the KING LTD was designed in partnership with The Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS). The driver is designed to incorporate space-related technology to help golfers achieve optimal performance.
