MEMPHIS, Tenn. (September 22, 2015) – The 2015 Small Business Connection Classic champion regained his PGA TOUR card this past weekend with the new Project X HZRDUS Black shaft in his driver, fairway wood and hybrid at the Web.com Tour Finals.
The 33-year-old champion recently put HZRDUS into play and finished in the Top 10 at last week’s Hotel Fitness Championship. At River Run, he came from 5-strokes behind on Sunday to shoot a final 60-under 66 and win by one stroke.
After being launched on the PGA and Web.com TOURS earlier this summer, Project X HZRDUS has become the fastest growing prototype shaft on tour.
“We designed Project X HZRDUS to deliver maximum distance for stronger, more aggressive golfers like this week’s Web.com TOUR champion,” Don Brown, director for golf innovation for Project X said. “We’ve increased the stiffness throughout the full length of the HZRDUS shaft which allows the golfer to put more power behind the ball without sacrificing tournament-winning control.”
HZRDUS is available in two models-HZRDUS Black and HZRDUS Yellow. HZRDUS Black is the lowest spinning Project X graphite shaft, featuring stiff tip and butt sections that allows golfers to put more power behind the ball. HRZDUS Yellow features a smooth, tapering mid-section and counter balancing which allows for more head weight and longer length for increased ball speed.
